POEMATHON in support of Ukraine

Exeter Phoenix    Sunday 24 April       13.00 – 17.00

Come along and support this poetry event to raise money for the charity DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and their work for Ukraine and Afghanistan. Up to thirty poets from the South West will read their own work or other relevant published poems in five-minute intervals. Just turn up and donate what you can on the door. During the last months of 2021, I learnt I had been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize, Commended in the Winchester Poetry Competition and listed in the top 50 poems for the Waltham Forest Poetry Competition.

I will be reading a set for Poetry Teignmouth on Tuesday, July 5th  with poems from Frank and The Uninvited. This reading  also features an Open Mic and a set by David Bleiman, whose poems I recently enjoyed hearing at one of Live Canon's excellent Friday lunchtime readings. I recommend both David and Live Canon.
